Late bloomer. Skated with a private men's league last year. Made A/AA in past but never made AAA due to small size. Always fast skater, great passer, lots of hockey IQ and fearless checker (played rep lacrosse also) but was late to grow and didn't have the arm/wrist strength for a dynamite shot. Grew over 6 inches last 2 years and is now 6' tall. Works out daily last 18 months and has added over 30 pounds of arm and leg muscle. Attended ostensible "tryout" for a local OJHL Jr C team last year and was the scoring and points leader but the team roster was already fixed (although not disclosed). Has played recently with AAA, OJHL and GMHL players who think he can cut it at Jr A. Wants to show what he can do by skating on Wednesday nights this spring (2019) with the Predators.
